Consequences of the Weapons of Mass Destruction
Through many years the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction has brought fear and a lot of problems to many nations, also they have killed hundreds of innocents around the world, because of wars and conflicts between nations or political movements. In some countries, like Colombia, there is a political conflict between the government and the revolutionary armed forces of Colombia (FARC), which has caused the death of hundreds of innocent civilians; there are many cases like this, especially in the Middle East where the fight against the terrorism is intense, and the proliferation of weapons is uncontrolled. Some consequences of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction are the waste of money on it and not in people in poverty status who really need at least a dollar to survive, and because of it the government s can’t support those people, also the proliferation of dangerous weapons cause a fear or a concern about a possible third world war. In conclusion the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction is a great risk because the lives hundreds of thousands of civilians are in great danger.
Global Warming
Global Warming is a threat for all the human kind. This phenomenom is destroying all the earth, but few countrys are taking measures against it. Costa Rica is one of those countries where the government is taking actions against this phenomenom and in the year of 2021 our country will be a neutral carbon country. In 2005, Kioto sets legally binding emissions for most developed countrys, but United States and Australia decided to not ratify the treaty because of the economic losses that the treat could bring to those nations.
Letter to The Organizer of Innovation Week (Ambientes Inteligentes)
To the Organizer:
Dear Organizer, the reason of this letter is to express my dissapointment of the innovation week’s activity that I attended last week about “Abientes Inteligentes”. I really couldn’t pay any attention in the activity bacause of the noise and the crowded place…
Everything was a mess, and even so I couldn’t hear anything of the instructor explanation, so I couldn’t understand anything about the topic…
In conclusion the activity was a total mess and waste of time, I really hope that the next time that I attend another activity like this one, I hope to see more order…
Regards,
Alex Miranda
Human Rights
http://www.nacion.com/2010-05-19/Sucesos/NotaPrincipal/Sucesos2376621.aspx
This is about a businessman in Santa Cruz Guanacaste, called Alvaro Badilla who is the owner of a Jewelry that was assaulted by a man and a woman, in the incident Alvaro Badilla was shot by the thieves. Fortunately Badilla survive, and the police, a couple of hours later, could capture the thieves. This is the second time that Badilla suffers something like that. A year ago, other thieves threaten him and stripped him from his vehicle. This is not only a theft, this is a violation of the human rights, this is an invasion of the private property, because the thieves also wounded Badilla’s life and that’s basically a violation of the human rights.
This is a problem of our country, the security of the people is in danger, things like this happen everyday, and I personally hope this government does something to solution this.
